ABOUT THE ARTIST

Vaiva Rimeika is an American printmaker and graphic artist of Lithuanian and Finnish descent. The inspiration for her art derives from her ethnic heritage and any subject matter that moves her. She previously worked for several advertising agencies in Chicago and Detroit. She now focuses on creating illustrations and linocut prints, along with select freelance graphic design projects.

She grew up in the Chicago suburbs, but currently lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan with her husband, son, cats Ukko and Spider and Aussie Doodle, Max.
